Press Release Summary: OMBucha®, a UK drinks manufacturer, has announced the launch of their authentic, micro-brewed kombucha drink. This naturally fermented bubbly tea offers a non-alcoholic, halal, gluten-free, alternative to those with a more health-conscious audience of millennials looking for new options.
UK-based beverage manufacturer, OMBucha®, has announced the launch of their line of non-alcoholic, authentic, and tradition Kombucha drinks. This naturally fermented tea has become widely popular amongst millennials as a probiotic, gut-enriching, vitamin-filled alternative to alcohol.
A healthy, natural alternative to alcohol
Those who are more health and fitness-conscious rarely have the option they need when faced with social situations that rarely offer healthy alternatives to alcohol. In most cases, the only options that they have are unhealthy, low sugar ‘diet’ sodas or sugar-laden ‘juices’ and beverages. Furthermore, the Muslim population of the UK are just as hamstrung by these options.
OMBucha® offers a new alternative with their new range of kombucha drinks, an authentic, naturally bubbly tea that’s fermented and bottled in their hand-crafted microbrewery. These low sugar, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, halal drinks are suitable for those with a wide range of lifestyles. From those with specific dietary or religious requirements to those looking to simply reduce sugar and alcohol in their diet, a healthier alternative is finally available.
The importance of authentic kombucha
OMBucha® creates and sells truly authentic kombucha. During their own research, they found that many other drinks marketed as kombucha utilised methods to stunt bacteria and yeast growth, tons of added sugars, added sweeteners, added chemicals and pasteurisation – completely against the principles and meaning of kombucha.
A 2016 study of 88 brews from eight makers discovered that the majority of kombucha tested had more sugar than listed: Some were more than 400 percent higher. While most of the tested kombucha listed 2 to 3 grams of sugar, all were found to have 6.7 to 13 grams — up to 4 teaspoons — in a 227ml serving.
Rather than the high sugar/fructose, fizzy water that they found other kombucha providers to sell, OMBucha’s products are slowly fermented, developing their naturally carbonated, probiotic qualities naturally, making them better suited to those with a health & fitness conscious lifestyle.
The healthy history of kombucha
OMBucha’s dedication to natural, authentic kombucha is inspired by the drink’s long history and reputation as a health drink, soul food, and elixir. Traditionally used in Ancient China, more modern studies have confirmed the drinks are rich in probiotics, able to improve overall gut health. The lack of artificial colours, flavourings, preservatives, and sweeteners also make it an alternative worth considering for those who are more health conscious.
Furthermore, OMBucha® is investing heavily in partnerships with gut microbiome research testing laboratories and will soon be offering both gut microbiome testing and DNA testing to all of their customers. This covers consultation with qualified specialists, testing, results and analysis and full support/guidance for enhanced gut health.
